Lauren Pigford Abbott is a fine artist and photographer based in North Mississippi, where she draws inspiration from the rural landscapes of the Southeast. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Lauren has spent her life immersed in the arts, storytelling, and the natural beauty of the region. Her work celebrates the charm and authenticity of the South, blending vibrant colors, textures, and storytelling into every piece.

With over 20 years of experience in creative industries, Lauren has honed her craft as both a painter and a photographer. Her oil paintings capture the vibrant colors and textures of Mississippi's rolling fields, cypress trees, and historic barns, while her fine art photography offers a timeless perspective on the region's natural beauty. Lauren creates both custom and original art for clients, specializing in fine art landscape paintings and photography that connect people to the landscapes they love.
Lauren's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including solo shows at the Memphis Botanic Garden Art Gallery in Memphis, TN, the Birmingham Botanical Garden Art Gallery in Birmingham, AL, the Harrell Performing Arts Theatre Art Gallery in Collierville, TN, and 148 N. Main in Collierville, TN. She has also been a regular exhibitor at the Double Decker Arts Festival in Oxford, MS. After stepping away to focus on family, Lauren is relaunching her art business with a renewed passion for creating meaningful, high-quality art.

As a member of the Desoto County Arts Council, and Memphis Germantown Arts League, Lauren is deeply connected to the regional arts community. Her approach to art is ever evolving, as she continuously refines her personal style and talents. Refusing to be typecast, Lauren ensures that each project she undertakes is infused with enthusiasm, dedication, and a fresh perspective.

In addition to her painting and photography, Lauren is the publisher and editor of The Horse Review Magazine, where she combines her passion for storytelling with her expertise in marketing and design. With a background in creative industries, Lauren brings a unique blend of artistry and professionalism to her work. She lives on a small horse farm in Nesbit, Mississippi, just 20 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee, where she continues to find inspiration in the world around her.
